About the Event

Join us for earthSEED: Growing Change on Sunday, June 3rd from 3 PM to 5 PM in Midtown Square to celebrate the land and its bounty, as we shift our focus to the environment and how we can better utilize our natural resources to strengthen resilience and community.Enjoy a small Black/Brown farmers market and take part in multiple multi-generational activities throughout the afternoon. This event is part of Seattle Reads “Parable of the Sower” by Octavia Butler, and is presented in partnership with ARTE NOIR. It is made possible by The Seattle Public Library Foundation and The Wallace Foundation, with additional support from Grand Central Publishing, and media sponsor The Seattle Times.

Additional support also provided by The Maven Collaborative, our partner for our summer focus on Black Thought for Black Futures series of programming, where we strive to create an expanded future for Black artists, creatives and the Black community.
